Note: The objectives of the Human Relation Planning Committee were to enroll and retain minority students; recruit, retain, and promote minority faculty and staff; monitor and enforce uniformity in campus implementation of the plan; establish and maintain academic programs attractive to students of all races; assure that the campus environment is supportive to all students; implement policies and procedures to preclude racial considerations in counseling high school students; to disseminate information about special programs to community college students’ to implement a system-wide policy integrating each college’s use of a Higher Education Equal Opportunity Program; to implement procedures for monitoring student financial aid programs; to implement policies and procedures which will assist the retention of minority students; and to establish a cooperative recruitment program among the state colleges and university and to increase desegregation of faculty and staff.
